People are the driving story behind wine. Not points. Not for me anyway.

While part of my other job as a coach revolves around the points each team has tallied, my passion project as a wine journalist has never included scores.

It’s all about the people, the weather, the vineyard and the stories behind the wine.

So, I coach basketball, I inspire young people to engage in fitness activities and I chronicle the stories behind the wine.

Sometimes I visit wineries, other times it’s a wine conference, but it’s always a focus on the story.

I live in Memphis with my beautiful wife and stepson whom I both adore.
